5 Reasons Lakehouse Hotel & Resort Is An All Time Favorite Getaway
If you’ve been following along on Instagram then you probably know that Mihran and I recently got back from a trip to one of our favorite places, Lakehouse Hotel and Resort!
I can’t tell you guys enough how much we treasure our time here so I thought I’d break it down for ya :) Here’s the five reasons Lakehouse Hotel and Resort is always a good idea.
1. The location.
San Marcos has come to be one of our favorite cities. It’s not overcrowded and it’s really nice and close to everything! It’s a 30 minute drive to San Diego and just 15 minutes to Carlsbad. I love that staying at the Lakehouse means getting to choose between staying put and enjoying the lake or heading out to a nearby beach. The hotel even has bicycles you can borrow to ride around the property and the cute surrounding neighborhoods.
2. The views.
The hotel views are amazing from wherever you’re standing. The hotel itself is extremely aesthetically pleasing and the lake and mountain views are like nothing else.
3. The pool area.
Their pool area is the BEST. It’s never been overcrowded (there’s 2 pools and hot tubs right near each other), there’s lots of lounge spots with umbrellas for shade and of course there’s a great view from both the pools/hot tubs.
4. The s’mores.
I LOVE S’MORES SO MUCH. At check in they give you s’mores to roast at their fire pits and it makes for such a fun time. I may or may not have stopped back in to the lobby to get a couple more s’more kits during the trip :)
5. The rooms.
The rooms are so big, updated and comfortable. We have stayed in a lakeview room during our last two visits and we just love it so much. Waking up and getting to go out to our balcony to look at the lake view is definitely a highlight every time. Also, parking is free and there’s usually available parking right outside your room so it’s really convenient and easy.
So there ya have it folks! It’s heaven here and you truly just have to see for yourself.
